Welcome to my website, the result of some months of hard work and all done for the love of the art - Shaolin Fists of the Five Ancestors ( 少林五祖拳 ). This art is also often referred to as 'Wu Zhu Quan' or 'Ngor Chor Kun'. The spelling varies too from one dialect to another, which can be confusing for the readers. That aside, despite the great leap in technological advancement in the past decade or so, it saddens me to see little information available on the WWW regarding this art. On the other hand, it is encouraging and perhaps comforting too to see from various online forums a growing interest in Ngor Chor Kun over the years.

Like most things, as I would imagine, it takes one or many individuals to spark the interest in one form or another among the masses, which eventually lead to total acceptance after it has repeatedly passed all tests with flying colours. Ngor Chor Kun is no exception. The art as taught by my Sifu, Master Chee Kim Thong ( 徐金棟 ) , started in the fifties in a relatively unknown mining village in Malaysia . Master Chee was only too happy to lead an incognito and bucolic lifestyle. But fate would not have it as it didn't take long before his healing abilities and martial art prowess caught the attention of his fellow countrymen. The art has since then come a long way before it caught the attention of martial art enthusiasts all over the world.

To-date, many questions have been posted in online public forums but there are few answers. What we need is more constructive and honest contributions from those who know the art, and this is what this website is built to achieve.

At the outset, I like to clarify that the art as taught to me by Master Chee emphasizes more on the Crane characteristics - the movements seemingly soft from the outside but what lies within is a much alive latent energy that generates spring like explosive power. In this regard, I do feel inclined to name my website 'White Crane Five Ancestors Art' or 'White Crane Ngor Chor'. However, I did not do so as I do not want to confuse the readers further. Suffice to say, from the lineage perspective, it is the art passed down by grandmaster Lim Yen ( 林賢師祖 ) to master Chee and then to me.

I find it fitting too to pay tribute to my Sifu for his love and dedication to the art. This is a 'living' website. Apart from sharing my personal experience and 'master & disciple' relationship with Master Chee, I have also included articles on Ngor Chor, general health and martial arts in general. Readers can expect to see more articles over time in these areas. However, the focus will be on White Crane Ngor Chor though it should be evident to all that my Sifu is adept in other martial arts eg. Wuji Quan, Lohan Ru Yi Quan, Wu Xing Zhang etc.

No one can claim total knowledge of the art. So the least we could do is to establish a forum for open and honest sharing, all in the spirit of Ngor Chor brotherhood. Master Chee has transformed the lives of many people - especially those who sought his medical expertise, guidance and martial art instruction. To all who have learnt and benefited from Master Chee, directly or indirectly, I strongly feel we owe it to our Sifu to propagate the art in whatever positive way (collectively or otherwise) we can so that the essence of the art is not lost.

Last but not least, I hope you find this website informative and beneficial in your personal pursuit of the art. The one who knows the true essence of martial arts is the one who realised there is still much to learn from it. On a more encouraging note, I leave you with this quote from my sifu, Master Chee Kim Thong.
