Environment

Our business is based on the
availability of an unending supply of high quality timber, harvested
and processed to create products used by people over the world.
However, we and the society do not tolerate pollution and
degradation of the forests. Meeting the technicalities and
understanding the spirit of the environmental laws requires AN
AWARENESS OF MANAGEMENT, STAFF, AND THE WHOLE WORK FORCE.
Our Board and Management recognize its collective and individual
members role in better utilizing worlds timber resources.
Understanding the importance of CONSERVING THE FOREST of the world
and STRONGLY ACKNOWLEDGE THE LEGALITY ISSUE in the timber business,
we commit to practice our business in ethical way. Hence, we pledge
this ENVIRONMENT STATEMENT as our responsible approach to the
stakeholders.
IT IS OUR POLICY TO:
|
|
Source wood only from legal sources with sustainable forest
management ultimately. |
|
|
Operate only within all environmental and legal compliances,
anticipate environmental issue, and inquire about the
environmental standards of our supplier. |
|
|
Promote new and secondary species whenever possible to
preserve forest environment. |
|
|
Promote processed downstream wood products thus increasing the
value of the forest. |
|
|
Provide safe and healthy working environment and opportunity
thereby present social and economic contribution to the
communities. |
Third party approach to verify our
legal supply chain is one of our first-priority objectives. As
integral part of our commitment, we are joining third party council
stewardship with responsible sustainable forest management oriented,
Tropical Forest Trust
(TFT).
