A)The man behind this fabulous product, Prof. Dr. Yukie Niwa

Prof. Dr. Yukie Niwa graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of top Japanese University, Kyoto University, in 1962. He holds a Ph.D. in medicine and is Director of the Niwa Institute of Immunology. He is also the director of Tosashimizu Hospital and Chairman of the SOD Association of Japan.

Dr. Niwa has been involved in clinical research into oxygen radicals and SOD for many years both in Japan and internationally. He is now recognized as a world authority in this field. Dr. Niwa used plants and grains from nature to develop his own low-molecular antioxidants, including SOD-action like foods and organic anti-cancer medicines and has been extremely successful in the treatment of various diseases including cancer with these products at his hospital. He had written a number of books in Japanese and two in English (“Free Radicals Invite Death” & “Drugs Do Not Cure Disease”), are now available here.

Oxygen radicals are produced in our body system to fight against viruses and bacteria which happened to enter into our body.  Due to a number of factors such environmental pollution, chemicals, stress and etc. under modern-day life, more oxygen radicals may be produced than necessary. These excess oxygen radicals(also called free radicals), if not neutralized, could cause a number of problems including attacking the body’s own cells, resulting in the cells attacked to become cancerous or combine with lipids (fats and oil) forming lipid peroxides which cause blockages and thinning of the inner walls of the blood vessels.

In fact, 90% of modern day illnesses are caused directly or indirectly by excess oxygen radicals and lipid peroxides. These illnesses range from minor problems like premature ageing, wrinkles, age spots, pigmentation of skin and more serious illnesses such as high blood pressure, cataracts, to dreadful illnesses including diabetes, heart attacks, strokes and cancer. Ideally, the SOD produced in our bodies should neutralize all the excess oxygen radicals. That would be perfect but is not always the case and especially so if one is not in good health or as one ages and more so for those whose age is 40 years old and above generally. This explains why as one gets older, the likelihood of illness increases, due to the lower SOD induction capacity (the ability of the body to increase SOD as free radicals increase).
